Lunacians, the moment of truth is approaching! The Axie Game Jam Voting phase has begun, and we are now one week away from crowning our five winners! During the Voting phase, you’ll be able to playtest and vote for a variety of community-built games. Here’s what you can expect this coming week:
Welcome to the Voting Phase
The Voting phase is a one week period where our judges will gather players’ feedback before choosing the final winners. It runs from 2pm October 29th to 2pm November 5th. During the Voting phase, teams can no longer make any changes to their games. That means all game submissions are now final! No edits, bug fixes, additional versions, extra levels, or notes allowed. This is a time for players to experience your game and vote for their favorites.
Once the Voting phase is over, we encourage teams to apply for the Greenlight program. Successful applications are welcome to make changes to their games after we announce the Game Jam winners.
How Judging Works
There are two parts to judging: votes and judges. First, community members will playtest games built during the Game Jam and vote for their favorites. Our judges will playtest at the same time. Then, our judges will consider their own experiences with the games as well as each game’s total vote. At the end of the Voting phase, they’ll choose five winners.
Here are the criteria players and judges will use to rate each game:
Game Design - How well the game is designed?
Enjoyment - How enjoyable the game is to play?
Graphics- How does the game look and sound?
Innovation - How interesting, original, creative, and inventive is the underlying idea?
